LBOD Model

The LBOD has been designed for the handling of flood and drainage problems of the area on the left Bank of the Indus River, the River Delta and its Coastal Zone through appropriate structural and non-structural measures for any outstanding deficiencies in the Left Bank Outfall Drainage (LBOD) system; for retention and/or safe disposal of drainage.

Lower Nara Model

Lower Nara model gets the flow from Upper Nara Canal meets at Head Jamrao Complex of Thar Canal System. Makhi Complex distributes into Mithrao, Khipro and Bakar Distry and Makh Weir Cross. Lower Nara model designed the flow of 7888 cusecs with two fall structures at RD 77 & 101 to dissipate velocity and increase flows to downstream in order to reduce the sediment load.

Khipro Canal

Khipro Canal off taking from Makhi complex, having Length of 245 RDs taking flow of 1401 cusecs to irrigate the area of Sanghar & Khipro Surroundings.

Mithrao Canal

It off taking from Makhi complex and carry out the discharge of 2378 cusecs along the length of 418 RDs in order to irrigate the areas of Sanghar & Mirpurkhas districts.

Samarjo

This branch canal carries the flow of 223.07cusecs from Khipro Canal and supply the water up to 71RDs length to irrigate the area of 17482 acres.
